Dinette Storage Access
We all have the access hole behind the port side (dinette) settee, it is a "finished" area, with clean finished sides and bottom. It allows access to the port, aft lower chainplate. Inside this area, just aft of its opening, is a partial vertical wall, that acts as the aft bulkhead of this storage area / chainplate access. I cut out the new hole to match the dimensions of the factory cut-out, and placed it the same distance from the end of the settee as the factory cut-out, thereby giving symmetry to the dinette seatback area. As far as what I've got in there now, WOW! there's a lot of space:
- Spare Icom M802 SSB Radio / Control Head + Cable / Speaker / Microphone / Power Cord
- Spare Icom M602 VHF Radio / Microphone / Power cord
- Spare Raymarine equipment/parts (ST 80 Masterview, depth transducer and thru-hull, GPS 120, Heading Sensor, Rudder position sensor, Sea Talk cables, 5-wire cables, etc. etc.)
- Spare Bilge pump (my original)
- 50A 125v/250v Shore Power "Y" Cable
- Misc Spare parts (Bimini / Dodger frame parts, misc plumbing parts, etc.)
- 36 Double Rolls of Quilted Northern Ultra bathroom tissue, (YES 3 DOZEN rolls of TP)
- 18 Big Rolls of Bounty paper towels
AND there's room for more!Everyone has their own use for storage spaces, I'm just including my inventory of the new storage area so that you can get an idea of how much room there is back there.

Dinette Storage Access
The access hole I cut-out is easily distinguishable from the factory cut-out by the fact that the interior is not white gelcoat / gloss paint but rather the inside of the hull itself. Below the dinette seats, I've 3 storage bins......the forward one is the smallest, and has the genset battery and FP "Capacitors", so its usable space is slight but the outboard (middle) storage bin/locker is big enough to hold the emerg. tiller and all my safety gear (a lot), including PFD's, and the aft storage bin/locker holds my tools / hardware, etc. In the aft cabin, behind/below the starboard side drawer, I have my spare Autopilot Drive unit....etc...
- 69 lb. BIG Fortress FX-125 Huricane Anchor
- Oil change Kit
- Spare sail cloth
- Spare sunbrella
- Bosun's Chair
- Misc parts
- Misc SS pieces and tubing
- Misc Alum pieces, etc.
- 16,000 BTU A/C
- 7,000 BTU A/C
- Fischer Panda 6KW Genset
This leaves the lockers and drawers in all the cabins open for clothes, lines, etc., as well as food storage, etc.Plus room for more.
