Turnbuckle Bolts
I hate taping cotter pins, and they are a pain to deal with. The rings that some people use get hung up on sheets. I replaced all pins with #8 and #10 pan head machine screws with nylon washers and acorn nuts. Just a drop of blue loc-tite keeps them on, but removable. The acorn nuts are a dollar per one. All the other stuff is reasonable. I guess the whole thing costs about $30 or so.

I have had these on for a year, and easily removed them this morning to tune the rig a little. This idea works great.
